Shipbuilding is a dynamic industry that is continuously developing. The Netherlands are a leading country when it comes to shipbuilding. Being a shipbuilder means being a part of a legacy. Most of our employees work in famous shipyards all over the Netherlands and they are subject to the most stringent security and safety regulations.
The most frequent jobs in shipbuilding are for platers, welders, electricians, carpenters, painters, and many more.
In order to be able to work in shipbuilding, you will need the VCA certificate, which stands for safety and environment standards. If you already have this certification, you will be able to start work immediately. If you do not have a VCA certificate, you might be required to take the exam to obtain it. Other pieces of training and certifications may or may not be offered to you by the company you will be working for.
